Some of the products within this offer include Unga, Sugar, Blue Band, and Rice.

This is in addition to atleast 80 per cent off on selected products in the ongoing Jumia Black Friday that is set to come to a close on December 13, 2017.

Also on offer are goats selling at Sh1, 000 for the first lucky shoppers to the site from December 4th to 8th, following a partnership with Kiserian herders.

According to the online retailer, the move is aimed at re-engaging current customers, and builds on the momentum the category has built during their Black Friday event.

“Whilst sales traditionally focused on mobile phones and electronics, this year’s best sellers have been FMCG products from mainstream brands such as Tuskys, Unilever and Procter & Gamble. The company launched the grocery category just this year, aiming at driving higher repeat purchase from their customer base,” a statement from the retailer said.

In his remarks while unveiling the Krisi na Jumia campaign, the retailer managing director Sam Chappatte confirmed that products listed under the Jumia Express program will be conveniently delivered within 24hrs.

“We hope our buy-one-get-one-free offer on the most popular products for festive period will make the end of this challenging year that much easier,” Chappatte added

Jumia’s success over this year’s Black Friday is apparent. According to figures released by the company, 9.6 million Kenyan customers visited the site over the month of November.
