AccorHotels Acquires Tune Hotel-Westlands

AccorHotels has announced the acquisition of Tune Hotel in Wetlands which will now be re-launched under the ibis Styles brand.

Speaking during the signing of the management agreement, CEO of Accor Hotels for Africa & Middle East Steven Daines, noted that it was an important step towards the expansion of Accor Hotels footprint in East Africa.

“With this signature, we are expanding our commitment to leverage Africa’s enormous growth potential. Kenya is a strategic market for Accor Hotel’s development in East Africa,” noted Daines.

He added that the ibis Styles Nairobi Westlands is their second hotel in Nairobi after the Fairmont Norfolk, but the first on the promising economy segment.

Accor Hotels also owns two lodges in Kenya, Fairmont Mara Safari Club and Fairmount Mount Kenya Safari club.

Olivier Granet, the Managing Director of AccorHotels Middle East & Africa, said ibis Styles Nairobi Westlands is a further step in their journey to doubling the network in Africa to reach 200 hotels in the mid-term.
