Accounting and Finance students to access courses online

Accounting and finance practitioners have a reason to smile after the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in collaboration with Edx launched an online platform for accessing professional courses in accounts and commerce.

The online platform ACCA-X is to be delivered on…the world –renowned edx platform, an online learning destination-founded by Massachussetes institute  and Harvard.

“We believe that the program will attract a diverse range of talent to the professional and broaden access to learning and allow more learners than ever to gain valuable financial literacy and prepare for the ACCA qualification,” noted the ACCA Head, Antony Kariuki.

Kariuki stressed that the intention of this platform is to provide accessible, affordable and high quality learning.  He said the target audience is any ambitious driven individual with the opportunity to obtain the skills and qualifications they can use for a rewarding career.

In bid to extend its networks, Kariuki noted that the association will also collaborate closely with other learning partners, employers and universities to support overall delivery and success of ACCA -X  On the other hand, Edx CEO Anant Agarwal commended the association’s commitment in innovating a platform aimed at meeting the diverse needs of professionals and learners.

“We are pleased to partner with ACCA and share the expertise in accountancy, finance and management in realizing our mission to increasing access to high quality education” added Agarwal.
