1.RUNDA-The fast-growing estate has become one of the most popular areas for the affluent because of its strategic location and luxury lifestyle. The former coffee plantation has experienced a boom in the property sector as elegant houses are sprouting under guided regulations by the most active resident associations in Kenya.

The presence of multiple foreign missions and international organizations has facilitated the robust security presence in the area.  Infrastructure in the area is excellent as the Runda Residents Association facilitates the maintenance of local infrastructure, in a bid to improve the all-round curb appeal of Runda.   Here are other sought-after locations in Kenya as compiled by leading property portal Lamudi Kenya.

2.KITISURU-The area is characterized by a unique blend of contemporary fittings and country house set up that can only be experienced in the countryside. The upmarket residential suburb of Kitisuru located just eleven kilometres from the Nairobi Central Business District (NCBD) has superb infrastructure that makes the area easily accessible.

The area has a low population density. In fact, almost a third of the local population are the expatriates. The houses have well-manicured gardens, spacious rooms coupled with modern house fittings, and extra outdoor features like Jacuzzis, swimming pools, fish ponds or even a fully-fledged sports field which can be used to hold events or other activities.

3.NAIVASHA-The Conducive environment for both business and leisure in addition to the availability of land has made Naivasha the most sought after location for holiday homes.  The area has experienced an increase in gated golf communities such as the Aberdare Hills Golf resort, Osotua Villas and Longonot Gate. Developers have integrated the scenic tourist attractions – Lake Naivasha, Hell’s Gate, Aberdare Hills and Longonot National Park – that have lured more homebuyers into the area.

4.RIDGEWAYS-The crisp climate and greenwood landscape of Ridgeways has attracted many people to buy property in the area, in addition to its serene environment. The area is also strategically located just seven kilometres from the CBD. Due to its low population density, Ridgeways has lured prominent business moguls; senior government officials and high-ranking expats enchanted by the clean, well-lit streets, well-manicured gardens and artistically crafted houses. These factors have transformed the area into one of the country’s most sought-after locations with homebuyers.

5.KITENGELA-The area is a favorite for most first time homeowners due to the relatively affordable houses. The growth of the town to a metropolis, coupled with the infrastructure and variety of social amenities in the area, has led to an increase of estates in the area. With the growing demand for houses on the outskirts of the CBD, Kitengela is touted as the most ideal location for buying your first property.
